Helicopter tutorial – reminder to create helly for final submission
Color Grading/edited footage
I have chosen adobe premiere to edit the footage and aftereffects to colour grade my footage as it was recommend by the tutor. Also for colour grading aftereffects was suggested better and also the tutorials i found on youtube will come in handy and will let me achieve different style of film lighting.
As I couldnt sort out my texturing in 3ds Max after greebling my spaceship i decided that an example in Photoshop would be the next best and the lighting effect i used was lighting effects in the Photoshop filters. What i would of liked to do is add a pale green glow effect in places to give a futristic look and also adding small lights to show the levels in which the spaceship has. I also would of liked to adjust the greeble a little more so that it would work with the texture.
My next step is to add my final spaceship to a short clip to test colour grading, style of grading following the links i found. This is so when it comes to the final I know what works.#

The problems Ive had with 3DS Max are when trying to cut around the seperate shapes the lines dont appear, When creating the overall look of the spaceship and using extrude it some times messes up shapes else where because it was selected. For some reason in the trianglar bit when extruding it to make it taller the edges got miss shapen. When trying to use greeble it sometimes wouldnt select the bit i wanted. I also had problems getting the greeble plugin to work as it wasnt showing in the modifer tab. I solved this by going to the plugin manager and added it in. Which solved the problem.
I chose to use greeble because it made interesting shapes that could possibly be engine parts, it also gave texture and slight depth.
